Finland's business confidence weakened marginally in December, survey data from the Confederation of Finnish Industries or EK showed Monday.
The industrial confidence index declined to -11 from -9 in November. The decline was caused by an increase in stocks of final goods. Nonetheless, manufacturers expect production to grow slightly.
Confidence in the construction sector recovered from a very low levels seen earlier this year. The corresponding index came in at -21 in December versus -34 a month ago.
At the same time, the service sector confidence index stayed unchanged at -2 in December. Meanwhile, retail trade confidence declined further to a record low. The score was at -27 compared to -23 in November.
