The Japanese yen extended its early strength against the other major currencies ahead of European deals on Tuesday.
The yen climbed to nearly 2-week highs of 145.29 against the euro, 120.77 versus the franc and 185.42 against the pound.
The yen hit a 1-week high of 97.36 against the aussie and an 8-day high of 119.58 against the greenback. Against the NZ and Canadian dollars, the yen advanced to a 4-day high of 93.15 and an 11-day high of 102.71, respectively.
The next possible upside target for the yen may be found around 119.00 against the greenback, 187.00 against the pound, 144.00 against the euro, 120.00 against the franc, 97.00 against the aussie, 92.00 against the kiwi and 102.00 against the loonie.
